This review is specifically for the broker Mike Chang: My roommate and I had been looking at apartments in Manhattan with other brokers and management companies before We met Mike .We were very disappointed with their professionalism, honesty, and ability to take our wants and requirements for our apartment into considerations. Mike, however, responded promptly. He took the initiative to even point out a listing the next day of our call to him.
Mike was punctual and came prepared for the showing .He was also highly transparent through the process, and gave us advice and suggestions.
The next day we met with him and we weren''t so impressed with the first apartment but he was prepared with printouts of other apartments.
It was nice to have choices and an agent who was by our side and fighting for us. We think very highly of him.
After 5 viewings, one apartment stood out! With the proper paperwork, our application was submitted for approval. We''re so happy to have found our apartment and thankful Mike was there to help us!Finding an apartment is a difficult thing to do but don''t stress out. You will have choices.... maybe not as many as you would think BUT there are some places that are gems. You just have to stick it out... and have a great agent who cares for real estate work. Mike Chang is one of them!
Israel was amazing to work with. He really went over and beyond what is expected of a broker. We were extremely impressed with his work ethic, professionalism and knowledge of the NYC real estate market. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a broker. He was extremely responsive and able to think outside the box. He was also genuine and trustworthy - which is not always the case with brokers.
My roommate and I spent three stressful weeks looking at sub-par apartments with various realtors in Manhattan. We were hoping to find a two bedroom in the Upper East Side, albeit with a modest budget. After we saw about ten apartments (ranging from ridiculously non-livable railroads to quasi-convertible one-beds) , essentially, the message we were receiving was "your budget is too low."
I contacted Andi Antonucci at Alpha Realty, and the first two apartments she showed us were far superior than others we had seen (in regards to both layout, quality and price). Both apartments within the same area we had spent weeks surveying.
The second apartment Andi showed us was fantastic--huge, a true two-bed, newly renovated, one block away from the subway and cost less han any other apartments we had seen prior. When we found out an application had already been placed for the apartment, we were extremely disappointed; but then Andi called me at 8:00 the next morning to alert me the spot had re-opened, and got our materials approved for a lower cost than originally listed. She went out of her way to make sure we got first-dibs. The place is really too good to be true!
The management at Alpha, particularly Raanan, is extremely professional, friendly, and straight-forward about the often-murky application process.
I highly recommend Andi and Alpha Realty!
At my wit's end. That's where I was when I found an ad on yet another apartment finder site, for yet another "spacious one-bedroom" in the right neighborhood, at the right price that was... and here's the biggest factor... PET FRIENDLY. I'd already been turned down by a couple of brokers who wouldn't even work with me as I searched for a no-fee apartment that would accommodate me and my 100lb Akita. Apparently Akitas are considered aggressive breeds in NY...so even when I found apartments that allowed dogs over 50lbs...chances are they STILL wouldn't allow my dog.
So anyway, I sent an email in response to the ad and heard back from Chris Corigliano from Alpha within the hour. Turns out that specific apt didn't allow dogs over 25lbs (which, let's face it...under 25lbs isn't really even a dog)...BUT...he said I'll find you something. He took me on...he didn't laugh at my meager budget (which would be a good mortgage in some towns...but in New York doesn't seem to get much more than a cardboard box ...but under a GOOD bridge). He didn't think I was crazy to want a full size kitchen and a bedroom that ACTUALLY would fit a BED! He didn't say, I can't help you when he found out about the size of my dog. He said...don't worry...we'll find something.
And after a difficult search...with him even sending me leads while I was traveling out of the country for work...and looking at tons of apartments... and getting more rejections based on my dog... we finally found something. FINALLY. A proper one bedroom. He negotiated the rent down to fit in my budget and got me the move in date that I wanted (pro-rated for the month...which seems to be an issue w/a lot of the buildings these days). He was calm, he was patient and now my dog and I can remain together in a lovely apartment, in a convenient location (3 stops to my job!!).
Oh...and to top it off, when I moved in...waiting for me was the gift of a little tin of olive oil from his family's farm in Italy. Seriously? So, would I recommend Alpha, absolutely. Chris C. ... a pure class act.
The only downside was that I did end up paying a fee (although it was well below the standard broker fee rates in NYC).
And for the record... as a public service announcement: I have met more aggressive Chihuahuas than aggressive Akitas. It's all about training and socialization. (Just had to get that off my chest).
I had an excellent experience working with Gilad. I was in a hurry to find an apartment, and it took only three days from initial viewing to signing. Due to my employment, I have fairly stringent requirements with regards to signing a lease, and he was very helpful through the process.
Overall, I really recommend Gilad as an excellent and accommodating broker.
Etai was great to work with. Very patient and knowledgeable, and he always had time for me when I had questions or concerns about the process. He definitely went above and beyond his job. I’d highly recommend Alpha Properties and Etai!
Saul Cohen of AlphaNYC found me and my three roommates the perfect
apartment! We were looking for 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, in a hip
neighborhood, at a reasonable rate... Not easy criteria to say the
least. Not only was he patient with our very high standards and up
front about the listings he shot our way, but he ended up finding us a
beautiful space in the heart of Williamsburg. Once it was clear it
was the place for us, Saul made sure we were the ones to end up living
there. He was always available but never annoying. An entirely
positive experience. Thanks Saul!!
We were new to New York and America and were incredibly lucky to find our broker Tom Beron at Alpha. Tom was incredibly generous with his time and advice and was invaluable to helping us find a flat and get settled in the city. We gave him a really hard brief as we didn''t know the city but Tom was patient and accommodating working out what and where suited us best. I would highly recommend him.

Israel is the one of the most talented and dedicated real estate agents (or professionals for that matter) that I have ever met. He knows Manhattan like the back of his hand and always goes the extra mile. NYC is a very difficult place to find real estate for rent or sale if you don''t know what you are doing -- I can''t recommend Israel enough.
The best part of my experience working with Alpha Management was hands down working with James Finelli. In fact, if it weren’t for James’ hard work and dedication, my roommate and I likely would still be looking, months later, for an apartment. Throughout the duration of the application process--I had a good amount of doubt that we’d get the place, but James reassured me every step of the way. James REALLY worked hard for my roommate and I.
Finding a dedicated and ambitious realtor that puts in 110% when working with a client --alongside many others-- is very rare in the city. So if you want the real deal, work with James. I’m a strong judge of character and he’s the man-- he will work around the clock to not let you down. Oh and I almost forgot to mention--he’s a dime; a TEN wouldn’t do him justice.
